I'm back at school!

 I was in lock down longer than a lot of the students in my class, but i'm back now. I'm not in my class since each class is one bubble and there's only 20 people allowed in one class room. So i'm in room with a teacher named Ms Mayall. 

Persuading letter! :D

This morning, during our class meet, we were talking about persuasive writing! Our task for that was to write a persuading letter and then post it on our blogs. I wrote about how you should go up north. Here is my persuasive writing.

kitten picture prompt :)

 Here's another picture prompt! Comment anything you think I should add to it!

Small high-pitched squeals echoed in an empty, and large home. but the squeals weren't coming from children, they were coming from kittens!

Those kittens actually looked like twin kittens. They had grey fur almost all covered with black stripes.

The two kittens looked as if they were play-fighting, which they were. One kitten was upside-down looking like it’s trying to balance on its head and back. While the other kitten was standing up with one paw reaching out to the other kitten.

In the background there was a dog, which to me, looked like a golden retriever. It layed on the wooden floor right behind the two kittens. Relaxed and unaware of what was going on.

For math, My class and I are learning about symmetry. On our class sight, There was some sort of game I guess, There was a small drawing type of game where you draw on one side, and on the other side the same drawing shows up. here is my art.

 Here is another picture prompt! Its pretty short, but I hope you like reading it! please comment some feedback if you have some.

The sun reflected onto the water while the glimmering ocean wobbled slowly up and down. The ocean seemed to be endless. 

As the cave dripped with cold salt water the wind was swooshing the light waves to become a bit more aggressive. Inside the cave, a small boat stood, Two big wooden Rowers and the boat itself. 

It had the color of dark tree bark but was much more smooth on your hands. 

Three small seats that could maybe fit four people inside? The sun was covered but you could still see it shining its golden reflection onto the crystal clear waters.

The warm breeze pushed the boat backwards, Schools of fish jumped out in front of us. The salty water splashed me in the face as the small fish landed back into the water.

I imagine what I could find diving down the crystal clear water. Schools of fish, beautiful corals sitting on the ocean floors, turtles majestically swimming around, and maybe even some coins! 

Continuing to go forward on my small wooden boat, I once again come to a halt. I again started daydreaming about the endless ocean and the warm breeze maybe becoming cold. I imagine travelling the great seas with a friend, or family member.

The early morning sun shone above me. The breeze was now warmer than before, the amazing town I live in had awoken and the sound of children playing, people speaking, hit my ears as I got closer and closer to shore. Soon enough I could hear dogs barking as well, playing out in the grass. My boat gently clicked on the dock as I put the rows inside it and ran up to town.

Goldilocks and the three bears story!

 So me and the rest of my class debated weather Goldilocks from Goldilocks and the three bears should go to jail or not.

In my opinion, Goldilocks should go to jail because she broke into the bear's home then started using their stuff, which is weird, and disrespectful. 

So anyways, I wrote Goldilocks and the three bears in my own way.

Story:

One day in the sunny, damp forest, there was a girl named Goldilocks. 

She had been walking along a pathway when she saw a small, two story house. 

She looked through the window and started to giggle. 

“ This will be fun. “ She announced, rubbing her small, pale hands together.

Goldilocks innocently skipped up to the brown wooden door, and aggressively kicked it open. 

“ Well, that was very easy. “ The moment Goldilocks walked into the cozy home, 

She smelt.. 

“ Honey! Delicious! “  

Goldilocks Jogged to the rectangle dining table, and said to herself; “ Mmm.. It smells so good! .. “It won’t hurt just to have a taste..” Goldilocks sat on the biggest chair at the table and grabbed a spoon the size of a pineapple.

“OW! MY TONGUE! TOO HOT!” she pounced from the chair and sat on the next one, grabbed the spoon, which was about the size of an apple, and gobbled it up just like she sat with the last one.

“ Ew! Too cold! I deserve something much better than this! “ She got to the last, and smallest chair with a normal sized spoon, just right for goldilocks.

But Goldilocks didn’t just break into any house.. She broke into the home of a bear family!

[With the bears]

“Mummy! Why are we going for such a long walk?” said the baby bear, who was about 6 years old, and was wearing a green hoodie.

“ We thought it would be nice to have some family time. “ The mother bear replied. Mother bear was exactly 30 years old. And was wearing a light pink dress and a white flowery apron over it. “Isn’t that right father bear?” Said mother bear again.

“Yes, it’s a nice day out.” Said father bear. He was the eldest in the family, with the age 38. He wore a singlet that was nearly the colour of his fur, but a bit lighter. 

[ Back with Goldilocks ]

“Mmmm...  that last bowl of honey was amazing!” Said Goldilocks, who was sitting on the velvet red sofa. She had eaten all of the baby bear’s honey!

Goldilocks walked around to see if there was anything interesting in the house, after she had finished chucking a bunch of objects that she could sell. She walked upstairs to see a hallway with 2 doors on each side. She walked into the first door on the left.

When Goldilocks walked in the room, she saw three bookshelves. One was as tall as the wall behind it, the other was medium sized, and the last one was tiny, nearly the size of Goldilocks, but a bit taller.

“That's weird.. Why would anyone keep different sized bookshelves in a separate room from the others.” Goldilocks grunted lightly.

She pulled a book out of the biggest bookshelf. But the book wasn’t very interesting for Goldilocks. It was about exterior design, Which she thought was boring, so she put it away. The next bookshelf was just about medium sized. The little girl pulled a book out of that shelf, but the book was a cookbook, and Goldilocks didn’t even know how to use a microwave. So she put the book back. And the last bookshelf was small, and as Goldilocks pulled a book about she stretched into a wide smile. 

“ Finally! A cool book! “ She announced.

She put the book in her bag.

[with the bears]

“ Oh no! It’s starting to spit, maybe we should start getting home now. ``said mother bear.

“ You’re right, c’mon Baby Bear! “ Called father bear over to baby bear.

“ Okay dad! “ Baby bear replied.

[With goldilocks]

Goldilocks barged into another room. But this time there were three Beds. Once again, they went in order from largest, to smallest. Goldilocks jumped onto the biggest bed.

“ Is this made out of wood or something? It’s way too hard! “

So she carefully got down from the bed and pounced onto the next one.

As soon as Goldilocks jumped onto the bed, she started sinking into the dark pink sheets. 

“ AHH! WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THESE KIND OF BEDS?! “

Goldilocks screeched. 

She got out of the bed a few minutes later to try the last bed.

“ The small ones are always just right for me. “

So then She once again threw herself onto the smallest bed and sighed with relief, as the bed was the best, most comfortable bed.

But then she got up

“ Wait, I can’t sleep now! The owner of this house could come soon! “

So Goldilocks grabbed her bag and started stuffing valuable items into it.

[Later]

The bears had finally got home. But they were shocked to come home to a broken door.

“ … SOMEONE BROKE INTO OUR HOME! “ Father bear called.

Goldilocks heard the Scream from downstairs and jumped.

“ Oh no.. I’ve gotta get out of here! “ Goldilocks started running but when she got out of the door, she saw the family of bears standing in front of her.

“ AHH! BEARS! WHY ARE YOU HERE?! “ Goldilocks yelled to the bears, not knowing that they could talk.

“ We could ask you the same question! “ Mother bear replied.

“ THEY TALK?! “ Goldilocks screeched once again.

Father bear blocked her way as Goldilocks was trying to escape, Father bear scared her so badly that she accidentally said to them; 

“ Call the police then, if you can catch me honey brain! “ *Gasp* Goldilocks gasped at herself and covered her mouth, scared about what she thought would happen next.

“ Mummy! Call the police! “ Squeaked baby bear.

“ Good idea baby bear. “ Mother bear replied in a tired voice.

A few minutes passed and the police were finally here. Goldilocks had complained a few times about how she needed a place to stay. Mother bear nearly asked if she wanted to stay when father bear picked up her bag with all the bear’s stuff in it.

The police took Goldilocks to the police station and she ended up being in prison for about 4 months. Father bear ended up making a new door and they lived happily ever after.

Or did they?

Tongan Language week

 For Tongan language week, we've been learning on slides, about the history, languages and a lot of other things about Tonga which is very interesting for me. every day we have to pick out one thing to read up to, and type what we've learnt about, and then out it on our blog. so this is what I've learnt:

Writing Prompt!

For writing, I had to describe a picture with Similes and metaphors added into it, Please comment some things I could add to it! and maybe comment some feedback for me as well? here is the (Very short) Story.

There aren't many similes and metaphors in it but I've highlighted them all.  
 

Who would have thought that seven dogs could play poker. They’re just like humans, all different breeds, it looks like. 

Except for three of them which look like siblings.

The seven dogs play poker on a green and brown table, with Brown Wood chairs with red velvet seats. The room was slightly dark and the walls behind them were dark blue and a small painting in the middle of it.

I wonder who might be winning the game? Or who’s losing the game?

The large red hanging light above them gave the dogs some light to see what they were doing, and a tall, skinny brown clock to tell them the time and when they should finish.

The grey bull dog was holding a card with its back paw, Like a Monkey, maybe?

They were all humans trying to win a competitive poker game. To get a prize probably.

Unfinished scratch project😅

Here is an unfinished scratch project I did. I'd love some feedback or idea's to make it better!

Making paper planes!(^_^)

This morning me and the rest of my class got into groups to make a paper plane. 

I was in a group with Anna, William, and Noah. 

Noah did most of the paper plane with a lot of creases. 😂😂 

When all the groups were done, we all went outside and chose who would throw it. Anna threw our plane.

It was who ever got the farthest down the turf, won. I cant really remember who won. But it was fun doing the paper planes.

End of term reflection ^﹏^

 It's the end of term 2 and i'm going to reflect on it. 

we've done a lot of thing this term, Like art, writing test's and today we're in our pj's at school! plus a shared lunch. So. 

Here are some activities me and my class have done this term.

Matariki.

It was recently Matariki and we had done some activities for it as well. the juniors came to our class and we spent the day with them. at the last block, we made 2 big Matariki stars. here are some pictures of them. the first one is the one inside the classroom, and the other one is the one in between the cloak bay doors.

Prototypes

This term we learnt about habitats as well. we got into our table groups and each table got a habitat. We had to make a mini version of them using recyclable objects. here are some pictures of all the habitats.

  

Optimism & Pessimism

 Yesterday a guy named Ben came into our class for a lesson.

 When he came in he asked us 'Do you know what optimism and pessimism mean?' 

Optimism means Positive response, while Pessimism means Negative response. 

We got into groups of 4 and we got a scenario. 2 people were optimist's, and 2 people were  Pessimist's. I was an optimist. 

the scenario was: "Layla has a camping trip for school. but her boyfriend recently broke up with her and she is upset."

2 of us were Layla and we pretended 2 of our team-mates was a boy named Joshua. 

Here is our little play skit.

Optimist's

Joshua: *Calls Layla*

Layla: *Answers* "Heyyy Joshuaaaa"

Joshua: "I'm Breaking up with you"

Layla: "Okay!" *Hangs up*

Pessimist's

Joshua: *Calls Layla*

Layla: *Answers* "Hiiiiiii"

Joshua: "I'm Breaking up with you"

Layla: *Cries and hangs up*

Then we finished with the little play :D

Netball!! :D

Every Saturday, the year 6 netball team, which I am in,  goes to windmill netball court to compete with another school.

Our teams name is 'Blue panthers'. 

Last week we won, it was about 12 to 3 I think it was.👍

Our uniforms are blue and yellow with the new Windsor logo on the back. The skirt is also blue with a bit of yellow.

I'm Usually G.S which means Goal Shoot, I'm allowed in one third of the court. I'm meant to be shooting the goals into the hoop for my team.

I really enjoy netball because it's one of my favourite sports. 

And my team members are actually a bunch of my friends.

Panikeke

I slowly picked up the small panikeke in my hand.

 

It was gold, and looked like a chocolate kiss.

 

I bit into the panikeke and heard a small crunch. The inside was pale 

and at the same time, an off-white colour. It was very delicious :D

"YUMMMMMMM" I said in my head. 

It tasted a bit like banana bread too!

it was delicious and I wished I had more.

BEE SCIENCE

This morning, my teachers gave me and the rest of the class small containers of a dead bee.

 There were worker bee's, male bumblebee's and queen bumblebee's. What I had was a queen bumblebee. 

I felt a little uncomfortable at first, but then it turned out to be fun!

I learnt the different body parts of bee's and that a queen bumblebee has 6 eyes. 

Fun fact: Male bee's in the hive are called drones.
